A tank breaking sounds like a gunshot.

I just had 4 gallons leak out of a 40 gallon overnight. I was amazed how much damage that little bit did.

I have a much different mindset now.

Threads like these just make me paranoid. My idea that smal tanks can't leak is forever ruined!

I have had worse luck with small tanks then I have had with larger. Knock on wood. The only tank I have ever bought new was a 30 gallon >_<

CARE-A-LOT Pet Warehouse here in SE Virginia is selling 10, 20H, 29R, and 75R tanks at $1/gal + tax. Today (23 May) is last day of the sale. GOOD LUCK. Diamond Springs store is sold out of 75s. Some may still be available at the Indian River location near Kempsville/Fordham Shopping Center (Virginia Beach), or Patrick Henry Mall location (Newport News). Petco charges sales tax on their full original retail price. ie, 119.99 for a (Top Fin)40 gal breeder w/ tax after $80 discount (their version of $1/gal) is $47.20, or in my case, $94.40 for two.
Care-A-Lot on the other hand, charged me $79.50 WITH TAX each on two 75 gallon Marineland Aquariums. A 29 would cost you $30.74 w/ tax.
I believe Top Fin and Marineland brands are made by the same manufacturer.
