Made up my mind and going to try the eco complete. Theres a new lfs with amazing stock that I've been following on Facebook that carries so this gives me a reason to check them out, the only thing holding me back is that i'ml working 7-10s right now.

I haven't tried the ADA product, mostly due to cost. I have had very good luck with dirt mixed w/clay and some Osmocote Plus pellets. It's a bit messy at the beginning, but quickly ceases to be an issue. I recently uprooted a large sword (couldn't get my hand around the base, 30 inch leaves) in a dirt tank. It made a mess for about 10 minutes, but settled out and cleared right up after that.

It's worth it if you want something that's easy to work with, rich in nutrients so you have wiggle room with dosing, something that will lower your pH, and something that looks good. If you're serious about cultivating aquatic plants or aquascaping, it's definitely one of the best, if not the best substrate out there.
