Maybe...I cant really speak on that as I have never run an RODI system for a reef.

Your chaeto should be dying...not growing. I think that is strange.

Good to see that you are finally getting the colors you want...I have some SPS that as I dose vodka are coming back from being brown. The colors are the "pastel" of carbon dosing though.

apparently there are an abundance of nutrients in the system if the cheato is taking off. it does take 4-6 weeks for the bacteria from the carbon dosing to kick in. im not sure if i want to add any more pellets until that time.

i could move up to 1/2 load of pellets from 1/4.

Well, tested my nitrates today, and it was 20ppm.

Upping my vodka to 1.5mL a day now...so I am in the same situation.

We will see...long process I guess.

Get it over with and start a pellet reactor. I doubled pellets in my reactor today and cleaned out 1/2 of my cheato

i took the sponge filter of my mag 5 return pump and a small snail got caught in it. making an aweful noise. now i have to take it out and clean it.

i also use 3 or 4 stackable sponge filters by my intake, they seem to clog up fast. wonder if i should leave them out?
