I've tried jumbo carne sticks but to no avail. I feed them raw shrimp, smelt and tilapia. I'll have to try beef heart. And have you had any luck with chicken gizzards or liver?

Try to feed every 3 weeks max as its quite a lot of protein for them. Gizzards and liver works but it makes the water pretty dirty. As for carnisticks, mine went for them straight away but my arapaima wasnt liking them so i soaked them in shrimp water and it started taking them. Another method is is cutting the shrimp and stuffing some carnisticks in. Good luck!
