My bigger moke was the first bichir I got. He was super light tan with just a few greyish markings looked like a delhezi which is what I bought him as lfs had 9 and I got them all I knew he was different. Until I got my second now I can only tell the difference between them by size both blacked out and just a little mottled brown/green only pattern is on the tail. That is when I see them. He was hanging out with too many Delhezi.

The little one is hard to find all the time usually he's buried in the agate the spiny eels must have a cave network for easy access the big one hangs in a floating log. Rarely are they in the corner pile unless I'm vacuuming.

I have 10 Polys from 6-14" and a 8" florida gar in my 150 and my parameters are always good. I have pothos to take care of my nitrates along with a lot of filtration. My moke is always out and swimming around, he honestly acts like a senegal except a tad bit more skittish. Hopefully you can find one, theyre probably one of my favorites except ive never seen mine eat in the 4 months ive had it lol.

Cute little moke! Their head always reminds me of the Sulci of the brain for some reason.

Guys i really appreciate all the help with all my newbie questions. Heres a few more.

Ive been reading up on allot of old threads regarding mokelembembe and are they really slow growers that top out at 9ish inches and would the ornate when larger try and make a snack out of the moke ?
