Are pacu supposed to spook this easy?

Interesting. Prior to getting one, I'd never assumed that pacus took such an active interest in inanimate objects. Does this tendency stem from some propriety sense of territorial ownership as with African cichlids? Once again, just curious. As always, thanks.

I think they are curious interactive fish. When we got the fish our cat who was accustomed to only pet status, cried piteously when we paid attention to the fish. We said she could be our pacu kitten. My husband would hold her up and rock her in as swimming motion, walking back and forth in front of the tank. The pacu would swim along...like a parade inside and outside the tank. Our Leonardo is a real character... Big personality.
