Yeah, the more common rays (Cortez, Yellow, Round) all thrive under human care and will breed like rabbits if you set them up for it.
Even the larger species like the Southerns will breed in the right set up. It's rare to see those taken from the wild anymore for public aquariums with the captive specimens coming from sustainable breeding programs. While I was with the aquarium in Minnesota, it was almost a full time job for one person just to take care of the collection of Southern pups that were born in house.
