My daughter caught a few little babies yesterday and had to have them :p. I have a speckled bullhead that's around a foot long, these guys going in a separate tank obviously. She's 6 and hooked on cats, now if we can talk the wife into a goonch :p. Any advice on these lil guys? I've never had babies before, got some krill and blood worms for them.

They should eat anything no problem IME :)

Just watch out for the typical catfish parasites such as ich and flukes. Also I'd keep a lid on the tank. I had a 6" bullhead jump out of a covered tank by jumping near the filter.

I've been lucky thus far without having flukes, or anything odd. Is there a treatment to add as a just in case measure for them? I didn't know they were jumpers too, I had a 10" channel cat knock lid open and jump out, unfortunately i didn't get home in time.

I don't like to treat preventatively unless it's something delicate like altums. You can add some salt or raise the temp to 84 if you are worried about ich, but I'd just watch them to see if infections occur before doing anything. Nice find!

There should be nothing had about raising them. I've raised 4 from ~1.5". Unfussy and easy.

I would personally treat all w/c fish and qt. Initial treatment for external parasites etc. - potassium permanganate bath, 3x 15 min each two days apart. Then internal parasites - by adding praziquantel + metronidazole + fenbendazole to their food in qt. Can be added all together.
