I was looking at the fluval FX range but due to limited space can not fit one under my tank. My current fliters probably run around 500l an hour and tank is 400l.

I want something to do over 1500l an hour.

Any help will be much appreciated

Personally I prefer to use two canister filters rather than one, it gives you redundancy when cleaning or breakages.
For a 400 L tank i would want a turn over of at least 2000 lph. If the fx series are two big would two fluval 406 fit under,

At present I have 2 canisters on the tank an eheim 2217 and some cheap and cheerful canister. Yeah 2000lph would be perfect but gather the only single unit filter that can do that literage are the FX series ?

What about a SunSun? I don’t have experience with them but a lot of people seem to like them.

Do you have room beside your tank? You could then go with an FX series and build a small cabinet to match your stand to house it? Put a plant or something on top of the cabinet? Just a thought?
