Best sand for poly tank

H hockeygoon - are u the one who bought those polys from Monster? (Ansorgii, Koloton lap, endli, and few others) if so, they got potential. Should start a progression thread in here, :--).

As for garnet sand. I'd stick with 30/40 grain. It's less kick up and into filters. They don't stick on your poly as much as well. The finer grains stick and siphoning the waste sux cuz the smaller garnet goes too.

If u can locate an abrasive / sandblasting company for pick up. Prices range around $15-$25 per 50lb bag. Good luck. Many poly members in here are using Barton 30/40.

I see lots of people using this but on the website it says sharp and fast cutting???? doesn't sound like it should work...

subrounded? as in shape? inert means chemically inactive I believe not that its rounded. either way it looks nice and obviously it is just fine. its not cheap out here so im stuck with play sand.
