Let's say you have some geos that love to sift through the sand? I have heard of certain types of sand that will damage they're gills if it's to sharpe and not fine grade? Is black sand like that?

The black diamond looks sharp :/ I know people say it's fine But I don't want to cause damage to any of my polys or cats cause I wanna be cheap. I'd rather pay more so there's no risk of injuries

A lot of geo keepers that tried black diamond switched out soon after, I would search out 3M's replacement, Estes' color quartz if you keep fish that will root through the sand.

I have a 125 gallon 6ft long and I used 1 50lb bag of black diamond for a thin layer that covered the whole bottom

Grow a pair. It's sand dude. Read years and years on experience with black diamond sand. Home Depot play sand was more course imo
