If it was me I'd use a paint brush to cut the edges in top and bottom if your tanks got trims that can't be removed ? Or if your not confident with a brush just mask it off with tape and use a bank card to smooth it down before painting so it doesn't bleed underneath ( hope that makes sense ? Lol ) then roll carefully as close as you can to the edges with foam rollerEvz, in terms of the acrylic paint, would you just cover up the base and top half with tape or something, so there's no room for error? Probably a noon question but eager to do it right

Acrylic paint goes further and is picked up just as cheap in the UK plus its much much easier to get off if you want a changespray paint. It's cheap.
