nice shots, definitely some impressive Cuban specimens.

as for the milky eyes, gars get this from time to time and we don't have a great explanation for it yet. as far as we can tell, it's not anything seriously traumatic, and has never been indicative of anything fatal in my experience. IME Atractosteus gars tend to get it much more often than Lep genus gars.--
