I've been breeding mealworms for a long time, I have mine in a plastic container with a screen lid because mine do get out, I don't separate them, feed them once a week or so and keep them in a cold basement. I probably don't get near the mass production but I still get plenty. I just wanted to point this out to anyone thinking about this it can be done many ways. I really just don't have the time nor do I want to spend a lot of time messing with mealworms.
