a 4.5 inch red fin wolf fish sharing a 55g tank with a 4.5 inch green terror. Water quality is good, 25% planted, 30% rocks with caves etc. My wolf fish will only come out at feeding time and even then my GT will chase him around the tanks. The wolf fish does eat well but when he is not eating he hides in the rocks and the GT leaves him alone. Should i be concerned by the stress of the GT chasing him every time he comes out? Will this situation reverse once they both get to 8 inches?

i would seperate them if it continues. Constantly chasing leads to stress then possibly ich in my experiance.

Like Allan said separate and get a divider. Likely this will continue even when bigger.

It depends on the wolf's attitude. Some will not tolerate. Plus when the red gets bigger it'll change but wouldn't risk it now. One or both fish may become victims.

It really varies for these guys. They will get around 7/7.5in over a year and half and plateau for a while after that. That's what I've seen.

any idea how long for a red wolf fish to grow from 4.5 inches to full grown?
Here's the 7.5 in boss of my tank.

You have to make a decision, separate/divide them now or get rip 1 of them...your wolf might not make it for long term under tresses and GT is a GT...itts name "Green Terror" for a reason :p
