Can you tan using tan lights Red Phoenix Barbs and Thai Blue Mahseers? If so I am getting some.

I believe those are enhanced photos. Color are not typical. I could be wrong.

I think tanning of aros is overrated, let alone other fish. Many fish do change their appearance to surroundings, but this can make the whole tank look really artificial.

Blue - blue finned - mahseers (actually from Burma and not Thailand, I think), look really good with neutral lights.
