After the carbon block set (like the filter guys chloramine set) isn't the byproduct ammonia? Is it a large enough amount to worry about?

from my under standing the catalytic or surface-modified can remove the chloramine but will exhaust really quickly. I was toying with the idea of just running carbon blocks to remove the chlorine and let the ammonia go into the system. I am just not sure if they will exhaust quicker then expected as well.
