looking at the darker patches between the spots looks like a marble to me .

i think it could easily be a marble crossed with something else. but to me it still looks marbled.

Definately has some 'chain-link' in the spots around the disc..

As it grow it could develop some nice marbling..

Should be interesting, nice ray either way..

Do you know what country it came from?

I've seen some captive bred marbles, and when small, the marbling is faint. As they grow it gets darker. Your's appears to have potential. It certainly may be a marble. Either way, $200.00 isn't bad for a really nice looking motoro like this.

He came from Brazil with a pleco order.

Here are some more pics. The flash on my camera is stuck on so it is still drowning out his dark patches. I have now got him eating shrimp so I am very happy!
