I searched knowing that this must've been covered somewhere but didn't find anything. Today I picked up 2 polypterus, an Ornate and a Bichir Bicher (I'm pretty sure), and I would like to place them in the same tank eventually (both are in quarantine right now) but there's a significant size difference.
The Bicher bicher is about 15 inches, and the ornate less than 12. Setting aside the normal considerations for temperament, would the size differential be too risky?
