why could'nt you use the large rocks and some sort of reverse underground filter, i.e. blowing the food back up
i was using some larger riverstones i picked up from Hobby lobby when it was on sale. 1kg bags were 2 for a buck. they had all sorts of different colors available. My wife even picked out some large glass stones to add some unatural colors to the tank. there was a problem with sinking pellets falling between the rocks. I fixed this by putting in a flat peice of a broken pot, and would always have the sinking food fall onto that. The bottom dwellers would always know where to come to get the food after that. Never had any problems not being able to clean it, my python worked great for that.
