a group of 8 would be fine. The more, the better!

I have eight in my 75 gallon, along with a dozen zebra danios. Also, I used to have a goldfish in with them that schooled with them. My platies also join the school whenever my catfish comes out of his cave.

i hate those fish
I'm the opposite, they are my favorite upper fish. Once I clear my goldfish out of my 55, my plan is to get them again.

at work i see them schooling with austrailian rainbow fish all the time
I've had some with rainbows before. They seemed good together.

The more the merrier and they are an absolute blast to feed and watch. They are always on the move. Also tough as nails.
Agreed, they keep a tank active and always seemed well lived. I don't think any of mine ever died the first year of owning them.

Wow! 28, even in my 190 I only had 6 (with 6 rainbows and about 4-6 bala sharks)

Bosemani's are agile. They are an awesome school to have together. My advice is move the bosemans to another tank..... nobody wants to buy 12 dollar feeders :nilly:

You didn't mention in your opening post you wanted them in a tank with Oscars, I would have said don't do it.
