Do hybrids get uglier as they grow?

That will be one awesome fish. I run an excavating Company so this is our silly season. I haven't looked at my rays since June. My breeding tank is completely covered over top and sides-I peek in to make sure they are all alive, fat and healthy and then leave them alone until January. When I get some time I will update some photos.
