so way back in the day i had read an article about a fully aquatic species of snake that are not common in the pet trade. the reason i am posting here is for the larger audience and i cant remember what place it was posted in. anyway if anyone can remember the species that would be greatly appreciated as i would like to look into getting one. thanks guys!

The banded sea krait made an appearance in reptile wholesalers about 10-12 years ago... they were however, collected off dry land where they congregated (perhaps for breeding, I don't remember now)... I have no idea if they are still available or if they were ever suitable for captivity.

Are you thinking about the tentacled snake (Erpeton tentaculatum)?
