Platystacus cotylephorus right?

How outgoing are they? (especially compared to regular banjos)
They are looking surprisingly active, how are they when feeding?
Do they dig in the sand?
Are they showing signs of feeling more secure in a group than a single fish?
Have you observed any aggression between them?

I've been really interested in these after I saw them on a stock list recently.

They are fairly outgoing. That was right after feeding. They go crazy when food is introduced! They do bury themselves in sand, not so much now. I think they are comfortable. Not sure about singles? I generally don't keep one of any species. No aggression at all.

They really do sound like a lot of fun, and they look great.

I'm debating getting them for my 55 once my RH tapajos establishes a firm pairing and I can get the other 3 to a new home. Have wanted them for years.

Awesome banjos, snake. These are still my favorite fish. Though I noticed at 3 years their activity slowed down a lot. None the less, nice eel tails and clean setup.

They have a group of them in Atlanta at a wholesaler that I buy from. They are in a 400-500 gallon planted tank with a bunch of miscellaneous oddball/hard to get community fish. I really like them. Really cool.
