This listing is for a model 2262 (1500XL) Ehiem canister filter.

Condition is new/unused.

I had some pretty big ideas on setting up a DC powered controllable pump to this canister unit, but the project never took off.

A spare o-ring and lid screw was purchased (spare o-ring and lid screw are included).

We have a 2nd Filter as well if anyone is interested purchasing both of these large Eheim 1500XL filters.

As a fish room rule, I usually get two filters and swap out the media into a ready-to-go clean canister.
The dual filter method always helped with having spare parts in the case any items were discontinued.
This method also worked well in saving 'down-time' on tank maintenance.

As stated in the original post, we never did get around to hooking the giant 1500XL filter up and proceeding with the heavily stocked dream tank.
The plan was to use a DC powered controllable Vectra pump vs the Ehiem 1500XL filter pump.

Although we did wind up purchasing a larger 120gallon tank vs. the 80gal. seen here, we kept it planted with cleaner shrimp and rabbit snails instead of the dreams of heavily stocking the 120 galllon with various fish.

In the end, all we needed was the basic Eheim 2217 filters for a planted set up.

Shipping to states far across the US has been quoted to be way too high vs filter cost.
- The 1st filter shipped well, but the buyer had a shipping center employee discount and prepaid the label.
- I never knew what he paid to ship it. I only had to print a label and shipped the filter.
