It's important to remember that these are just sort of guidelines. Some fish can be the same subspecies AND variant and look totally different when it comes to coloration. My boyfriend got a GREAT picture to illustrate this last night - I'll post my different variants here in a bit.

First pictures are of my Guinea Lapradeis - Lucy, Flopsy, Maverick and Wicked

Take a close look at this one - these are both Guinea Laps. The one on the far side is MUCH more green and brown compared to the steel gray on the closer fish.

Next are images of our only Nigerian Lapradei, Marley.

First are my Guinea Endli (Indy) pictures. He's my favorite :)

I already showed pix of Voltas, but I have one more.

And as previously noted on the first page, here are my Nigerians... none of them made it.

Mmm lookie at the coloration on those fins... such a pretty fish.

I'd forgotten about the Chad. Anyone have pix of that one??

I actually went thru 4 Nigerians. All of them died mysteriously. To be honest, I like the coloration and body type a lot more than the other varients, but I just don't have the energy or money to keep buying them and gambling on their survival. Figure on $75 a pop... x 4... $300 bux? N they didn't live? Hmm um... yeah. That'd be nice to have back right about now lol

this is a very old thread i started back in 2007.
there seems to be more region and location variations
in the hobby since then. so maybe with the help of all
the new poly keepers out there we can add more picture
confirmations of as many as possible.

Just thought I would throw these beauties of Japan in here...

WC Endlicheri "Ghana Oti":

Greenie like Hulkie! Serious money to boot!

And to answer someone posting a few above, Chad are still out there. Hard to find outside Japan maybe but they are there.

Igarashi X Igarashi are still breeding them too. And they are F1.
But they will cost you an arm and a leg, thats before you make a futile attempt to get them out of Japan...

When I get some time out I will digg out some pics of ALL the Endlicheri variants.
