How much was all of that fiberglass?
Not sure really. Each gallon separatelly cost about 44.00. Chop mat varied. I lost track ato about 1600.00 dollars in. I'm well over 2000.00 now with the stand and filtration system. Growing filtration system I should say.

I got filtration (LED algae scrubber system).

I've got glass, of all sizes. Just sitting waiting to be used.
I have SOME lumber.
(So I'm steps ahead on SOME of the costs).

Just don't have my plywood yet. And I'm not spending any more money till I roll up a decent cost on fiberglassing an ENTIRE tank (as opposed to just corners).

My fiberglass application was all internal. I wasn't concerned about the exterior finish of my aquarium, just the integrity. As for filtration, my 55 gal sump is not big enough. I might just build one to custom fit under my stand.

My biggest regret is making the interior of my aquarium black. The black color just seems to absorb light and color like a void. When I build another one, I'm going to make it blue like I originally wanted. Then I'm gonna strip the sealer out of this one and paint it blue. As far as paint goes, I was going to used an epoxy based resin with a resin pigment to seal the polyester resin.
