rang in the new year with a gar feeding! i can tell you guys 2 things. one is that gars LOVE walleye. the second is with these trops my floridas no longer have a diet. lol they are becoming fatties like no other. i was doing well at thinning down my biggest florida, but now all hope of that is lost. it is now just about as thick as my tropicals.

just throw them in an outdoor pond and let them go through the winter with out food like me and it will become a super model!

i would but to cold here for that.

thanks, ill have to snap a few more shots of them. to give people a "true look" at the size of the largest tropical gar ill post a new years eve poc i posted in the lounge of the family infront of the tank. the beastie posed just like it was the start of the pic.

oh ya amy it was great.

i added some fake plants and some rocks to change it up. all my real plants got uprooted by the trops. i also added some peace lillys in the corners. giving them a try instead of my normal pothoes. i lost all my pothoes from the pestocide incodent.
