Ahhh.. ok, but the one in the water is supposed to be there... it is the one that DOES NOT lead to the sump. The current water level is about 1 inch from the top, and the box in the water is as low as it will go. Well, this is a start. I will try it when I get home. Many thanks!!!

I saw your other picture, and I can't tell you exactly what it is as I've never used an overflow like that personally but it appears to be set up wrong. You may want to look at some pictures online to see what may be the problem.

OK... I took the hose off the overflow inlet... how can I get the siphon going... the hose is too short for me to get it going...

i use a piece of airline, run it up one end of the hose to the top center, and suck the air out, make sure you dont let the air back in as you pull the line out

OMFG... SUCcESS!!!!!!! Smaller tube going from overflow to sump box!!!! just added salt!!!! thanks for all the help... will post pics after 2 Vodka sodas
