Florida gar and bichir question

So i have a 300 gallon tank with:

5 inch Weeksii Bichir
10 inch Weeksii Bichir
8 inch Mokememble Bichir
8 inch Golden Longfin Senegal Bichir
7 inch platinum Senegal Bichir
6 inch ornate

They are the only things in the tank, I wanna get a florida gar. What size florida gar should I get? My guy has ranging from 5-7inches 7-12 and 12 and up.. what size would be best too avoid any conflict? Should the gar be bigger?

I’d add a 7inch fl gar. That’s just IMO.

5-7 if possible but may be fine with 7-12. I personally had a Florida Gar with my bichirs yrs ago until it jumped out.

I was feeding every other day. The gar was almost 1ft. I probably would feed a small 5 inch gar every day until the 10 inch mark.

Sorry for the late reply was at work A friend of mine gave me the gar it was eating pellets and cut up tilapia.

It's a good! Ohh that's awesome! I'm hoping mine will take that stuff but we shall see. He will probably fight me for feeders

I have a couple of florida gar and 3 bichir ranging from 10-15"

I couldnt imagine you ever having conflict as their paths never kind of cross. I have an endi bichir that will feed from the top of the tank but they don't every interact

Gars are ace fish, dead easy to keep in my opinion generally always hungry I feed mine lance fish, prawns mussel and they readily take and sinking or floating pellet too. Mine are about 12 and 15"
