1st unless wild caught it most likly is a florida. if it is LFS bought u can be gaurenteed its not a spotted. second plz search. info is every were. they max out around 24" in captivity

My two cents is about them getting fast starts and smashing into the sides. Thats my biggest fear for gars. I have my florida in my pond. He never ever hits the sides bc they are black and easy to see haha. But when it was 4 inches it was in a 55 gallon. It would hit the sides alot.
