I've had my flowerhorn for a few months now ,about 4 to 5 months .his body region becomes dark with few blotches of normal scales and fins but generally dark in color .recently he's been a little scared but he is eating and swimming properly .water conditions are tested and pristine .he's the only fish in the tank .this is the second time he's become dark, first time was when I got him and for about a month he was blotchy with dark scales here and there but they slowly faded away and he looked like a normal flowerhorn but now he became dark again .can a flowerhorn fade twice ??I've a attached a few pictures of when I got him and now .IMG_20150714_175814.jpg IMG_20151101_010217.jpg IMG_20150714_175814.jpg IMG_20151101_010217.jpg IMG_20150714_175814.jpg IMG_20151101_010217.jpg

It does look like he's fading and don't know if they can fade twice or not. Beautiful fish nonetheless! Easiest way is to look at the eyes it's always blotched black until it turns into its color

He wasn't this dark the first time though so maybe he's fading now and just stressed the first time .really confused .the front portion of his body doesn't turn black and the eyes aren't black either :/
