Food For An Oscar

I will be getting my 3 inch oscar in a few days here. I am wondering what to feed him once he gets about a year old.

For the first year I have some pellets by HBH called oscar bites. It is mixed in with the same size pellet super red.

But after i use all of those. I predict about a year old. Then I need to decide on a large pellet.

I want to feed NLS but that is just too expensive on a student budget. Kens offers KENS PREMIUM FLOATING CICHLID PELLETS 7.5MM.

Does this seem like a reputable product?

Or does the HBH larger oscar pellet, Oscar Show I think, Seem better?

Kens Xtreme Monster Pellet Looks great but over twice the price. Would it be worth it?

i feed all my cichlids hikari. my oscar is a little pig i tryed tetra cichlid sticks but they made to much of a mess

Tetra sticks suck because of the mess. I use ken's and hikari as well as the treat of worms, crickets, some crawfish. They also like peas. Remember to vary the diet a bit.

O yeah! I will feed him blood worms like crazy too!

Any other suggestions?
