Description:Cherax quadricarinatus. Great animal, eating pellets, flake, frozen, pretty much everything offered. Have had for several months but now need to downsize. Able to hold its own amongst large fish if it has a shelter of its own (vulnerable while molting), but mix with caution. Most compatible with fast tankmates; doesn't seem to care at all about much smaller fish or shrimp, may try to chase bigger ones. No incidents keeping this guy with resistant plants (was fine with Anubias, Java fern, and moss). A real character, enjoys rearranging its surroundings, and very aware of its owner.
