The dark colors are harder to get rid of, although traditional koi keepers will stock one black fish per pond; usually all black(Karasu) or all black with white fins (Hajiro). Maybe trade to LFS's.

I'm in a similar position with my pond although it's goldfish and rudd for me.
I'd put them on here and craigslist.

Get an albino channel catfish as a birth control for the koi carps. I would love to get some smaller dark ones less than 6-8"

We tried blue channel cats. They did great for a couple years and died, not sure why.
