"Gar" mistake?

oh, it was still very small. less than an inch. the hujeta(?) is still only about three or four inches. there's two other tiger barbs, a little bigger than the one it ate, two black skirt tetras, and a full-grown tinfoil barb also inhabiting the tank.

lol, yeah. now, if I'm not mistaken, it as been established as *not* a gar. lol, ah well. still looks freaking awesome.

it now has a bulged belly, lol. don't think it'll eat for a little while now.

well, I sat there and watched him go after the barb a couple times. I was saddened, a three dollar meal was maybe a little too much.

Yes, it's a Hujeta, aka False gar aka Freshwater barracuda.
I wanted to buy one of those but ended up with a Gar....
But very pleased anyway.
I'm sure you wil enjoy the fish.
