Gar vs Aro: zee great debate

Gar are cool. I had 4 for a long time and their personalities were so different it was crazy. I had my big girl who would rub on other fish when I introduced them which was the weirdest think ive ever seen and one runt gar that was literally the most aggressive fish ive ever had as far as trying to bite me. No matter what I couldnt put my hand in the 500g tank without him coming over quickly for a nip (not a huge issue when he was 8" but when the runt was almost 2' thats an inconvenience)

I'd get gars and aros. Get them small and enjoy watching them grow. I keep polys aros and gars all together and I love them. It would be a good idea to upgrade to a 30" wide tank at least in the future.
