alright let's keep this going. Does anybody want to do Gold diamonds, Xingu, Guyana, Columbia? Anybody? Try and stick to the format.

I think we need to have Pedro or George to fill in most of the information. I'm sure they know these by heart.

Interesting thread...my personal favorite is the highback, jet black ones.

The first diamond posted by the thread starter is my old fish of 10.5ins , its from Peru , here 1st and 4th pic, they are caught in thre same rivers as the "highback black". Im not sure id call it a "blue" diamond, just a diamond will do as it looked different depending on the light. I bought it in the UK for £150 which is half of what Pedro would charge and its traveled a few 1000 miles further. The second "black" diamond posted by the thread starter probably only looks "black " because its on dark gravel/background imo. As you can see from the 4th pic the "blue" diamond looks " gold" here.
Also a pic of the Brazil from the above web page when i had it at 15ins , 2nd pic.(its now dead).
And my current 2 "black highbacks" from Peru

Also a recent pic of the 16ins Venezeulan fish from the web page above, this fish is very dark and rarely lightens as do the "black" Perus. The head shape is different than the Perus

Thanks for providing the information on where your diamonds were collected. 150GBP is equal if not more than what Pedro charges ($300) in the good old days, unless you count the current exchange rate :)
When did you purchase the blue diamond? how long you had it, what happen to it now if you don't mind me asking. The 4th pic looks like the black diamond I have..like I stated in my original post, all the diamonds (blue, black and gold) all look a like sometimes. :)
