i agree that it could still be a genetic weakness in the muscles that hold the eye.. and then the trauma helps it drop .... but i think the actual cause is banging the head...

when i first started this thread i did not think it was exclusively silvers but as it turns out it is 99% silvers..

My 10" silver arowana has a slight downward angle to his right eye after a severe run with the glass canopy. He hit the canopy twice with good solid "thuds" each time within a few seconds. Got up turned the lights on, water everywhere... He had gouges on the top of his head just behind the eyes. I have been feeding him silversides since hes come into my care at the 8" range.

Just wanted to contribute to this analysis. Good luck.
