the juveniles look very similar to the common iridescent shark(Pangasianodon hypophthalmus) , i only guess its a mekong giant catfish because the common pangasius is really too common , can you guys pls explain how to differentiate between them .

You can see whilst looking at the pics of the babies in this thread that the center of their eyes are well below the mouth. If you look at juvenile IDSs, their eyes are noticeably above the mouth.The center of the eye above the horizontal line through the mouth angle in juveniles; eye totally below the level of mouth angle in subadults and adults.
