Just because they "look" happy doesn't mean it is,
Gars are better off by themselves or with other gars. Gars also tend to grow pretty big, they need space, so as soon as you can buy a large tank- remember the rule, the bigger the better. these guys can get up to 4ft and then some. So a 55gal is 48 inches which is 4ft so he needs bigger than that to move around a 75gal wont cut it because its not nearly enough space to turn in. anything in the 100 gal up will do the job. (perferrably 125 and up)
can we get a view of the entire tank. buy a cheap tape measure and measure it out.
