HELP!...my 12 years old alligator gars have suddenly stopped eating!!!

i dont know what the hellll was wrong...

BUT thank GOD.....they haveee started eating on the nineth day...n they r improving significantly...they ate a little on the 8th day...then ate more on 9th....n they r not sitting on the bottom any more.......

i still cant figure out WHAT happened BUT m happppyyyy that my children r fineeee ...

m also buying a new little gator gar....i have contacts all over Pakistan,n everone knows who to call if a gar is available ...a shopkeeper called me n told about a 20 inch gator gar that was available......i reserved it when they were sick....since now they r fine...i ll b going to get it tomorrow......they ll b seeing a new tank mate after a damn longgg timme ...1.5 years or so...since my 22inch red tail died..

in the given circumstances....will it b fine to release a new tank mate in the aquarium..?
will a 20 inch gator gar stay fine with 31 n 34 inch gator gars?

My 30" does this every year but not till it really cools down..i do not use a heater and he will hibernate when water gets down in the 60's he goes about 2 1/2 months without eating ...doubt this is your issue being warm still
