Hey another post sorry! I was hoping someone could help me Sex this fish as well. At times the anal fin looks rounded and at other times its looks sharp at the end. I tried checking manually but I wasn’t too sure on the results, his coloration makes it hard. He/ she also has egg spots. Please let me know!!
(Sorry about the butchered paint and the dirty glass, had to put him in the emergency tank as I was relatively confident he was a male)

A lot of peacocks come in to the aquarium stores treated with testosterone to bring out the dominant male coloration. Many of them then eventually fade back to the female or subordinate male coloration. If there was no hormone treatment, I would say subordinate male, but if there were any treatment, it could be gradually returning to female coloration and finnage. The fish's profile is male, having a larger head and smaller abdomen.

Here are four females and a male from my tank, pics taken last night. The females can have good color, but I think you’re right about yours being a boy BCA559DE-1746-41A6-9988-E5FA79926A01.jpegE1F38235-F3AB-4209-A214-FC0C9843896F.jpegB355E768-322F-43C0-A963-D28B4D9F9761.jpeg4DA2F22F-698B-484E-B2E1-74B4F99E9972.jpeg1A69809F-F774-4B9C-884E-5C268C994D91.jpeg

I’m unsure about the treatment they went though however if you look in the third photo the finnage seemed very round. This fish looks similar to the female you posted. I tried venting but I was honestly only able to visually see one hole. The other was either too small or the colors were too mixed. Any idea if that helps?

You're right because that fish has characteristics of both, which indicate to me it is a subordinate male. If you notice, all my females have fins that stop well short of the start of the tail, whereas the male's go past it. Your fish has slightly longer fins than any of my females.

My local aquarium store has a display with probably 100 fish that look just like yours. People buy all the colorful ones out and all that are left are females and males that aren't showing much color or finnage. It's too hard to tell the difference!

That’s probably the best answer I’ve heard. Thank you for your help, greatly appreciated!

If you look closely at the first photo there are a few egg spots!
true. But what threw me off is that it only appears to be on one side.
