MY CLOWN KNIFE HAS WHITE FILM ON HIS FACE AND PART OF HIS BACK! I HAD A WC RIVER CHUB IN THE TANK (it had been in there for like a year) CHUB.jpgCK disease.jpg BUT IT STARTED LOOKING LIKE IT HAD A DISEASE SO SEPERATED IT YESTERDAY... BUT NOW IM NOTICEING THE DISEASE ON MY CLOWN KNIFE!!!
HE IS MY FAVEORITE FISH! I RAISED HIM FROM A LITTLE BABY HE ALSO SEEMS TO BE RUBBING ON THE ROCKS AND STUFF!!!

HERE ARE PICTURES OF THE CHUB AND THEN THE CLOWN KNIFE!!

PLEEEAASE TELL ME IF THIS IS SERIOUS OR IF IT IS EASILY CURED!!! TELL ME WHAT THIS IS!!!!

Not sure exactly what it is but add some salt to the tank and get some melafix to add in as well. Nip it in the ass before it spreads anymore

What will melafix do? i thought that was for nipped fins...

Gonna give it a whirl and say that looks like a fungal infection.

Keep up on your water changes, and put in some medication for fungal infections.

Melafix also treats fungal infections, pimafix for parasitic

its an external disease and melafix won't be enough
in this case, I would highly suggest Seachem's Paraguard- used in an hour(s) dip method or quarantined

Definitely looks fungal. Salt, raise temp, and An anti fungal.

Be fast, it can spread fast and is deadly. If he starts to look lethargic you will prolly need to salt bath.

I just went through this in my wifes goldfish tank and it killed half the tank before I realized the issue and got it under control
