The Gator Gar is a WAY better fish than that jag thing, so just ditch the jag and enjoy the powerful beauty that is... The Alligator Gar. and no, it's not suggested that you try that combo!
Actually, here is not only a great idea but what you should tonight/tomorrow.
You're going to need a larger tank for your Gar very soon anyways. So I would say just go get that larger tank and house the Gar in there. Then you can keep that other jag thing in the 75
THEN... when the Gator Gar get to be about 3 feet or so then you can reintroduce them

seriously...posts like this(and the ones in the initial thread) are the reason you should remain banned...seriously..it's completely alright to want to watch some of the predatory behaviour of gars, but donig it for the sake of some violent entertainment? fish keeping is really about providing the best care for your pet...and in this case, adding a cichlid into the mix is really not going to accomplish this in any way. unlike you, a lot of us are trying very hard to promote common sense and good gar husbantry...posts like yours are really doing the exact opposite of that...it's got you banned before and you still do it?
to the op again, unless you already have larger facilities, i'd ditch the gar and stick to something that can stay in a 75 gal for longer than the next 2 months. that combo is also ill-advised. good luck
