Home fire, 600 gallon acrylic tank melted

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I like seeing the pix of the construction...please keep 'em coming!

Since the tank is so long I'm guessing it has to be in place before you start framing?

I'm a bit of a worry wart and having the tank in place while all the tradespeople are doing their thing would make me nervous. Are you able to wrap it in some heavy duty cardboard while all the construction is going on around it?

It would be a total bummer if someone accidentally damages that beauty.

I'm excited for you Chaidan. Looking forward to seeing the progression.

thanks guys. it will be a minimalist saltwater tank with a few large angels, wrasses, triggers, tangs, zebra moray and probably a big puffer like mappa. will take awhile to stock, ran into some unexpected expenses with the house build.

hey man how are you? thanks for all your help with my questions earlier, yeah its covered and will have a tarp. the aquarium builder needed it out of his warehouse it was taking too much space so i didn't have a choice, moving that thing is something i only want to pay for once.

aquarium on stand, still have to move it in place as it will be a room divider, this is the initial spot it was unloaded

I'm so sorry ... What a horrible fire....I had a power strip for one of my set ups catch fire and luckily I was able to put it out before something like this happened. Hoping for a quick and painless rebuild and hopefully insurance comes through without any delays .
