Thank goodness for native predators and a 100 - 150 foot diameter farm pond. Many of the monsters I raised in various growout tanks.

It is normal at ~ 2 feet to transfer my Bowfin's or Longnose Gar to the farm pond from 100 - 300 gallons pond/ tanks.

10" Oscar. 75gal. Bare bottom 2x whisper 60 HOB's for mechanical filtration and 2x fluval 406's.

Tank could be bigger. Could be smaller too. He gets 70% water changes twice a week.

Sometimes I feel bad and then I to to this oscarfishlover Facebook page where "experts" put 6 oscars in a 55g and feed them dog food. :banghead:

A tank upgrade is in the future once I move from my apartment.

I wouldn't beat yourself up, a 75 is a better home than 95% of Oscars get I'm guessing.
