Hystrix pups

New litter born sometime last night. Five pups- looks like 1 male, 2 females, and haven't been able to get a good look at the other two. Checked on the tank this morning before work and found them. No signs that she was about to give birth. She was acting normal last night and had a hearty supper.

I haven't even got the pup tank set up yet. I figured I had a few more weeks and was going to set the tank up this weekend. Looks like I will have to leave work early today

Will get some pictures up tonite. Also of interest was a 6th pup that was maybe half-developed.

Got the pups moved to their own tank this afternoon. There are 4 females and 1 male. Last litter was the opposite. Took a few pictures with my Fire but they didn't come out very good. Will post better pictures taken with the camera in the morning.
The severum wanted her picture taken too so photo bombed.
