They are egg scatterers. One female will have up to a dozen males chasing her in the shallow backwaters. Once you see or hear the adults , the babies will be big enough to see and catch in a few weeks. Once you see one baby gar, they really stand out then. I have caught over 100 in a couple hours. Just keep a eye out for the adults cruising the banks and start looking for them in a couple weeks. Good luck.
