Hey Oscar 300, Get this monster up to health. Most silvers never reach the 4ft. mark in home aquaria.

Silver Arowana (Osteoglossum bicirrhosum )

They grow upto 4feet there surface swimming fish which can jump so i hope you got a lid on your tank and a strong one too they don't call these fish water monkeys for nothing. they eat fish, Prawns, pellets most meaty foods and prepared foods.

They require large tanks minimum tank size would be 180gallon but they do really need bigger Silver Arowanas a prone to droop eye it's where there eye starts to well... droop the fatty tissue behind the eye build up forcing the eye to look downwards.
most aros dont grow that size

its RARE that they reach the 4 foot mark

hell!! some dont even make the 3 ft mark

Ahh im glad you guys notice the swimming position! Just as a note, the pics are from him just going in the tank, LFS cuts and brusies but no scale damage. Melafix is being dosed.

As for the swimming position.....he seems very boyant? He swims normal but when he dives say 6" then stops swimming he floats to the top fast with the last third of him touching the surface first? Also whats drop tail?
